To the caregivers at Kindred Hospital Chicago Northlake:Thanks to the nurses in the High Acuity Unit for taking such good care of my brother, who passed away on October 18. He has suffered for many years and now has no more pain and is at peace. I have watched him over the past two and a half months in several different hospitals and I never saw such good nursing and compassion as I did with your team. He was a hard patient because he had given up. You bathed him, kept him clean, always changed his bed - the other places didn't give that kind of care. I had been asking at the other places if they could wash his hair, cut it and trim his beard to at least give him some dignity and help him feel better. The night I stayed with him, Steve did just that. Please give him a special thanks for me - that kind of care isn't in the manual. Again, my heartfelt thanks to all of you. The world needs more people like you. - Sally R.
